ABOUT ME

I have been doing theatre since my sophomore year in high school. I have done work in most of the disciplines but I find particular joy and fulfillment in carpentry and Stage Management.

ARTIST STATEMENT

I stage manage because a job well done makes me happy. Theatre gives me the opportunity to see my work come to life right before my eyes. I love being able to see my work be useful and beautiful in its purpose, watching a show come together right before my eyes, thanks in part to the hard work I have put in.

My main goal is getting the finished product to be consistent and run smoothly. If anything helps the show become better I will do my best to implement it. I make decisions based on practicality; whatever will be fastest and easiest in a situation is normally the best answer, and if not you’ve bought extra time to make it better.

I have been continually honing my people skills; every day my personal confidence grows and in turn so does my professional confidence. The more I believe in my self the more accomplished I can become as a leader. My calmness and easy-going nature finally found a wonderful home as a stage manager; it keeps others sane and grounded, and keeps the group as a whole on track. It also helps me deal with situations with a level head.
